Shropshire & Mid Wales Wedding Celebrant

Love is the most important thing in the world. I relish hearing about your special story as a couple, how you met and how you got to this point. How we reflect that story is paramount to creating a memorable ceremony, surrounded by the most important people in your life. Your love is unique - shouldn’t your wedding be too? My whole aim is to put you at ease, feeling confident and excited in what we create together. On the day you can feel relaxed and trust me to lead your ceremony with love.

I want to make your hearts sing, and possibly make you cry (with happiness) too!

Step by step timeline for wedding ceremonies:

  • Enquiry - usually a phone chat or zoom to see if I am a good fit for you

  • Face to face meeting, ideally with tea and cake

  • Choosing readings, poems, music etc together

  • Designing an initial outline, weaving in your elements

  • Reviewing drafts - I will edit and tweak until it’s perfect for you

  • Checking in ahead of the wedding

  • I never do more than one wedding on a specific date - on the day I am all yours, there’s no rush

  • On the day I’ll leave you with a keepsake copy of the script

With a celebrant led ceremony you have freedom to do and say what you like. I will spend as much time as needed to create your perfect ceremony. (I don’t charge by the hour!) At our initial meeting I will listen to you and start to gather ideas for the ceremony around what is important to you both - pieces of writing, songs, poems, music, lyrics, passages from books - I can also make suggestions if you’d like some inspiration. If you come from different cultural backgrounds we can draw on that rich mix. I have recently devised ceremonies to include words and rituals from Persian, Moroccan, Estonian and Indian traditions.

We will also talk about what rituals you might like to include. There are many options e.g. hand tying, candle lighting, ring blessings, or we can create one especially for you.

I will spend time with you designing, planning, writing and creating your tailor-made ceremony, which will be totally and uniquely yours. There are many ways your family, friends, children (or even pets!) can contribute to the ceremony.

As an independent celebrant I am not bound by any beliefs or doctrine, as religious or Humanist celebrants are. We can ‘pick and mix’ from any faith or none, weave in poetry, readings, blessings or pop song lyrics - it’s all about what matters to you.

Please do drop me a line and let’s have a no obligation chat.

Wedding ceremonies are £600.

“Love is friendship set on fire…”

"Thank you so much for orchestrating and facilitating R and T’s wedding ceremony. It was truly very special and unique to them and I am lost for words as to how fantastic it was. I cannot thank you enough, they were so happy with everything you did. You indeed have a very special gift!"

“We honestly can’t thank you enough for all your love, care, wisdom, kindness, thoughtfulness and support. As well as seeing my husband (!) it meant so much to see you there at the end of the aisle in your amazing yellow dress! You were a really calm and reassuring presence and I’m so glad we chose you.” E&L

“I do not think either of us expected to get so emotional, but it was an exceptionally special ceremony that we will always remember. Upon reflection we both said it was one of our favourite memories of the day. Many of our guests commented on how unique and personal it was, thank you for helping us to create that”.
